Watching people grow is one of our favorite things to do at
Green Peridot. Our current mission is to “nurture and develop the strength and
beauty within ourselves, our co-workers and our guests.” We put it in that order
because we believe it begins internally, with ourselves, then with the people we
spend the majority of our day with (our co-workers) and then we can give

About Jenny and Hilary (from the July/August issue of Tallahassee Magazine)
Jenny Dease and Hilary Brooks have a lot in common. When
Hilary first sat in Jenny’s chair at Green Peridot Salon, they immediately
discovered they shared many of the same friends and professional relationships.
Jenny said, “I know all of her friends and have been doing their hair forever.”
Hilary, an RN and Clinical Supervisor at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital’s Home
Health Care unit, and Jenny, a Senior Stylist and Educator at Green Peridot,
both grew up in Tallahassee. They are both young professionals who work in
Midtown. They even both have golden retrievers.

About Katie and Kelly (from the May/June issue of Tallahassee Magazine)
Kelly Dozier first became a client of Katie Wright’s in
2000, and the two quickly formed a bond between professionals that has turned
into a rewarding relationship. The relationship first took on extra significance
when Katie started Green Peridot Salon in 2002. “She had won my loyalty right
away, but when Green Peridot started, we suddenly had a lot to talk about – the
business community, what it’s like to start a new business, to have employees…
That really gave us something to build a relationship on, beyond hair,” said
Kelly, the co-owner of Mad Dog Construction.
